There must have been something stale in my printer configuration, perhaps from an update to OpenSuSE 10.3 a couple months ago. StpQuality, the option listed by "lpoptions -l" now works, even with the "#ps2pdf - - |" in the command. So a little puzzle is solved, there. -Tom
