Hi all. I'm using a Palm TX with Gentoo, Jpilot 0.99.7 and wifi / net:192.168.0.xx transfer. Also running pilot-link 0.11.8-r1. I've been a happy Jpilot user for many years, going back to a few Sonys and the first Palms. Many thanks to Judd and also the Pilot-Link team. I also use Outlook at work and sync twice a day at home, twice a day at work so that all records exist on both Outlook and Jpilot. This has worked flawlessly except recently Jpilot will choke on the MemoDB, complaining: unable to backup or transfer. This only happens with the first attempt after an outlook transfer (during 'slow sync') and never on successive Jpilot "fast sync" transfers. I can usually get it to complete after doing a hard reset on the Palm but not always. Sometimes I have to kill Jpilot and restart - it then it will complete OK. I've tried deleting / cleaning old records trying to keep the sizes down, deleting some content from individual records keeping their size down but have not found the 'smoking gun' that is the root cause of the problem. Occasionally AddressDB.pdb will fail but always goes OK on the second attempt after a reset. MemoDB.pdb is 670k with 1150 records in 13 categories. I'm wondering if there is some way I can trace or debug the transfer to see if it is particular records or content that is causing the problem, or am I exceeding some limitation of Jpilot or pilot-link? The outlook wifi sync always completes successfully the first time. Thanks Rick
