Despite the fact that Palm Desktop doesn't recognize some standard import 
formats, I was able to get it to import JPilot contacts  (with the stock 2006 
release of 0.99.8) simply using one of the JPilot export formats, though I 
don't recall which. As I recall, the procedure likely involved forcing Palm 
Desktop to import the file though it wasn't listed on my Mac as an importable 
file in the "file open" dialogue.
