I can't seem to synch my m505 for the past week or so. Normally at my
office, I have my m505 in the cradle/charger, which plugs into power, and
into a USB port on my linux box, running etch. I am running jpilot version 0.99.9.2-1 with pilot-xfer version 0.12.3.

About 10 days ago, before synch stopped working, I would put the m505 in the
cradle, after logging in, open Jpilot, then hit the sync button on cradle or
on the palm screen, and then once it chirped and changed the screen, then I
would click the synch button in Jpilot. Normally it would work, but
occasionally I had to click on the synch button in jpilot a couple times and
    then it would commence synchronization.

This worked with the preferences setting at /dev/ttyS1. I have attempted a
synch and as well have attempted to communicate with it via 'pilot-xfer -p
/dev/pilot -l' but nothing will get it talking. I have also tried this with
/dev/ttyS1, /dev/ttyS0, and also with /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1. None of
those work, none will get the device to talk.

    BUT...

When I am at home, I plug my device into a serial data cable, to a machine
running XP and Palm Desktop, and it syncs immediately, with no problem, no
    hiccup, no delay.

I hate not being able to work on data in Jpilot, and then face the fact that
for now, I can't load it to my Palm device.

Please, show me what I might be overlooking.

    Scott
