    Okay, I did that. And now JPilot syncs again as long as there's nothing in the install box waiting to be installed.
    
    I opened a terminal and typed in (copying from the online manual and the file-path in the install box):
    pilot-xfer -p usb: --install /home/Teasdale/Documents/My Received Files/CardTXT.prc
    
    Assuming that's the correct sequence, the terminal responded:
    
    "Listening for incoming connection on usb:..."
    
    And there it stays, it goes no further.
