    I actually wrote the patch to jpilot that does this, for exactly that
    reason.  I don't think the long option works, but "jpilot -s" does,
    provided you have the GUI running.  If you want to sync without having
    the jpilot GUI running, you can use jpilot-sync instead.
    
    I think this was added in jpilot version 0.99.9 though.
