I ran "sh autogen.sh --disable-nls" on a fresh checkout. 'configure' *still*
reports missing PO macros and, interestingly, is ambiguous about NSL support:

This package is configured for the following features:
    ------------------------------------------------------
    Compiling with plugin support.......... yes
Compiling with private record support.. yes
    Compiling with Datebk support.......... yes
    Compiling with Mana support.......... yes
    Compiling with Prometheon support...... no
    Compiling Expense plugin............... yes
    Compiling SyncTime plugin.............. yes
    Compiling KeyRing plugin............... yes
    Compiling dialer add-on................ no
    GTK-2 support.......................... yes
    NLS support (foreign languages)........
    Compiler Options....................... -g -O2
    Prefix directory....................... /usr/local
    pilot-link headers..................... /usr/include
    USB support enabled.................... yes
    pilot-link 0.12 support................ no
    pilot-link version found............... 0.11.8

So, I hacked the Makefile, removing po/ from the target dirs. Now the build
completes and leaves a working executable.

Perhaps disrelated is that "Plugins" is missing on the menu bar. But I think
I've had trouble with that previously.
