Nick, TR, and rest of Jpilot community, So changing Jpilot/File/Preferences/Settings Tab/Serial Port to /dev/ttyUSB1 made my main account worked. Great. I took a look at the jpilot.rc file of this now-working main account and the change is reflected there: port /dev/ttyUSB1 The line in jpilot.rc file of the test account (which is also working) has this line: port In other words, it's blank in the Serial Port blank in Settings Tab. I logged on back to the test account just to give things one more try. I tried syncing the first time on the test account, and it didn't work. Then I tried adding /dev/ttyUSB1 to the blank, and it worked. Then I tried making the serial port text box empty again, and it still worked. Now, I logged back on to my now-working main account. I synced with the /dev/ttyUSB1 placed in the serial port, and it worked. I tried making the serial port text box empty, and syncing worked. I'm happy jpilot is syncing in seemingly whatever I do, but I'd like to understand what has just happened. J Ubbu C -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
