I seem to be able to get a consistent connection now using /dev/tts/USB1. The technique seems to be to press the PDA cable's sync button, cancel it, press it again, wait for the music, then activate the pilot-xfer command line. However, after having the incorrect data installed on the PDA, I'm trying to delete it using 'pilot-xfer -p /dev/tts/USB1 --delete AddressDB.pdb'. But, it's not working. The attempts fail each time. If I can delete that database from the PDA, I can reinstall it using the -i or -s options to pilot-xfer. I'm trying to get things working consistently (and correctly) using pilot-xfer from the command line before tackling getting the jpilot sync button to connect. All help on getting the --delete function to remove that database (I don't want to manually delete over 300 names, and correct the errors in the remaining names) will be appreciated.
