I see, you mean the initial install of the Linux system. I thought you meant the JPilot install... Anyway, a system-wide setting may not be the right approach for this, since different users on the same system may want to use different settings. When I wrote "A locale setting for this would be nice" I actually meant a setting in JPilot's 'locale' tag of the Preferences dialogue. Not a system locale setting... -- Johan
