[jp] Jpilot data gone when synced to new pda. help

I have the data on my old Sony PDA, but that Sony PDA will not work
anymore. When I dropped the Sony PDA, the Power button stayed lit up,
but the screen wouldn't light up. After a few hours, the power light
went off, and I think this means the battery is completely dead.

I do not seem to have a /backup directory in my /.jpilot directory.

I have a backup, but it's about a year old.

Is there a way to get the "old version" of the files that are in the
/.jpilot directory?
