    To the best of my knowledge, that is fine.  I use gentoo and my udev rules 
    for cd drives is 2 lines long (and one of those is a comment).  So I think 
    your minimal version is fine.  I've barely used SuSe, but the auto config 
    stuff for Redhat, Mandrake, and Ubuntu always seem to put way more stuff 
    than is necessary.
