Here are 2 recent threads on it. http://lists.jpilot.org/pipermail/jpilot/2007-February/006779.html http://lists.jpilot.org/pipermail/jpilot/2007-February/006783.html The missing categories "bug" is known. There is not enough information stored in the Palm to do a reliable sync on categories, so in this case jpilot thought that the categories were deleted on the desktop and removed them on the handheld. You may have to create the legacy applications if you are not upgrading from an older Palm. This is not hard to do. The extra fields in the 4 main apps (Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Memos) will not sync in jpilot, and jpilot will even remove them if they were on the Palm and the record was modified in jpilot. pilot-link, and jpilot can backup and restore the databases fine. Support for all of the Calendar fields in jpilot is not far off. Judd
