    Well, I went ahead and delted all data files in my ~/.jpilot directory, 
    forcing a handheld overwrites desktop sync. Everything went well with my Treo 
    700p using JPilot 0.99.9 and pilot-link 0.12.1, on Arch Linux current with 
    USB1 as the port.
