openSuSE 10.3 is still in Factory, isn't it? I'd wait for them to sort
out all of the bugs and make an official release before worrying about
the userland things blowing up (unless of course, you're helping them
debug and sort out those bugs prior to a release).
I'm trying to find a way to build a 10.3 ISO, without much luck. The
information on the various openSuSE wiki pages is completely
non-existant and what information is there, isn't very useful.
Pointers? Where did you get 10.3?
