One of the main problems I've found with using PHPiCalendar in a public
context, is that it _requires_ that your calendar be public. I wanted to
do the same thing you're doing a few years ago, but I wanted the ical
calendar application to be secured, allowing only authenticated users
    access to the system.

Once you secure the calendar location with any form of authentication
(Basic Auth, LDAP, etc.), after you've authenticated, your calendar is
not visible in the PHPiCalendar interface anywhere at all.

It's a bug on their end, and it's been there for over 4 years,
    untouched, and still open.

I'd love to know if you've found a way around it.
