Hello, First, a quick summary of my system configuration: - Slackware 11.0 (certainly with many, many updates from pre-built packages mainly from Slackware and Slacky.it as well as some packages built from source) - KDE v3.5.4 (Stock Slackware packages) - J-Pilot v0.99.9 (Built from source over 4 months ago) Today, I started up j-pilot (for whatever reason). I noticed that every character was replaced with a blank box...yes, a blank box. Though, the last time j-pilot worked fine was when I did a hotsync last week. Here are the things I tried to troubleshoot/resolve the issue: - Opened j-pilot with a different user...same problem, - Rebooted...same problem, - Figured maybe the installation of QT4 could be causing the problem, so I removed the pre-compiled package using the pkgtool utility...still, same problem (even though I did run an ldconfig after I removed the QT package, I did not reboot) Things I will try later (not in any particular order): - Reboot (maybe a reboot is required after having removed the QT4 package) - Fluck around with KDE font configuration/settings, - Re-install j-pilot, What do you think could be causing this problem? What do you think might fix the problem? If you want more info from me, just tell me exactly what you want. DPD.
