When I transferred my data from a Clie to a Palm Zire, the only problem I experienced was that various incompatible programs from the Clie got installed to the Zire and, when launched, caused havoc (though no data loss). I can't recall which programs, but I would remove any proprietary Sony applications from the list of .prc files in the JPilot backup directory before performing a "restore handheld" (?) with the new device. It can be kind of tricky to know which ones, so perhaps someone else can chime in, here. There's also the matter of the newer data models in recent Palms, which I haven't had to confront, yet. -TR
