    I don't know how that could happen.  There are two dbm files in the
    ~/.jpilot/Backup directory named active.dbm and inactive.dbm.  When you
    move a database from one list to the next in the jpilot-backup GUI, it
    updates those records in the dbm files (deleting from one and adding to
    the other).  The only way it could revert after a sync is if some other
    process makes a copy of the dbm files before the sync and replaces them
    after the sync.
    
    Try this: move a database from the active list to the ignore list, then
    exit the jpilot-backup GUI (just click the datebook button to bring up
    the Datebook GUI), then go back to the jpilot-backup GUI.  Is the entry
    you moved still in the inactive list, or did it revert?
