    Not with JPilot. Other pilot apps allow you to press only the button on the 
    cradle because they use a daemon that monitors that keypress (gnome-pilot and 
    kpilot, for example). With JPIlot you must tell it the cradle is waiting for 
    the desktop software to activate its side of the sync process. Speed and 
    stability have kept me from changing from JPilot to those others.
