Another approach is what I used to create my color scheme. The basic color
of my jpilot window is 'wheat,' and the default text on widgets used to be
white. The contrast was too low for comfortable viewing, so I changed the
widget colors to black.
I set jpilotrc.<whatever> as the default until I saw one with black text
on the widgets. This told me where I wanted the RGB designator { 1.0, 1.0,
1.0 } (black). I then edited /usr/local/share/jpilot/jpilotrc.wheat and
replaced the white text foreground of { 0.0, 0.0, 0.0 } and was good to go.
If you prefer to roll your own color schemes, a Google search for 'rgb
colors' will produce tables that will give you the decimal representation
for just about any color your monitor can display.
