    The libusb section is pretty dated; it still says that you must be root.
    It should probably just direct the reader to README.libusb.

    I agree that there needs to be an extremely detailed walkthrough, but I
    don't think it's simple, let alone VERY simple.  With all the recent
    changes to udev, the kernel, pilot-link, and distributions, not to
    mention certain distributions' use of not-yet-ready-for-release software
    (*cough* Fedora), it's easy for a user, particulaurly a user new to
    Linux, to become confused.
    
    By the way, was that a proclamation of your intent to write such
    detailed walkthrough, or a solicitation for input? ;-)
