    Hi!
    
    My udev rule is different from what you recommend to Michael Havens:
    
    KERNEL=="ttyUSB*", SYSFS{product}=="Palm Handheld*|Handspring *", \
                        SYMLINK+="pilot"
    
    No "bus", no "mode 666". Could that be my problem?
