Since I posted earlier this evening there has been two further developments: 1. If I use File / Install user and then launch the sync process, it now gets as far as the "identifying user" stage; it stalls there for a few minutes and then Zire says "Cleaning up", "Sync finished". And then my hard disk or processor begins to whine... 2. On one occasion I got a print-out from JP saying that it was doing a slow sync and could not open the address.db , nor the ToDo.db, etc.. Unfortunately I was unable to copy the text to paste it here... I hope that this information might throw some further light on why I am not able to sync normally. Best wishes, Eamann
