Short version: I tried to fix the calendar display (to start the week on Sunday) by upgrading gtk+2. Ended up with a system that was FUBAR when I logged in this morning. Reverted gtk+2 to -2.8.12 (from the freerock gnome site) and got gnucash working again, but jpilot-0.99.8 just will not load: [rshepard at salmo ~]$ jpilot removing stale pidfile *** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x0810b2e8 *** Aborted Of course, it's worked flawlessly for me for years, and also with the gtk+2-2.8.12 since I upgraded that a month ago. Nothing's changed (as far as anything I deliberately did) with glibc-2.3.5. Tried re-installing jpilot-0.99.8 from Judd's Slackware package. No difference. Rebuilt from source (with patches and the SlackBuild script). No differences. Jpilot is one of my mission-critical applications. I've no idea what is still the matter since I reverted to versions of everything that worked before and even killed and restarted X. Any ideas or insights appreciated. Rich -- Richard B.
